Kings Manpower Cooperative was one of the first organizations in the Zamboanga Peninsula to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak by providing face shields to our frontliners. In our own little way, as soon as the ECQ was implemented in Luzon, our Manila office instructed our team in Zamboanga to purchase all the available acetate, garter and foam they could find at that time in anticipation of the possible widespread in the country. Given the limitation in time and human resources as a lockdown in the city was declared a few days following the Luzon Lockdown, a total of 500 face shields were still completed and eventually distributed to the City Health Office and other organizations that are at the forefront of fighting this global pandemic.
